I’m originally from Ukraine, and I studied at AM Language in Malta for a four months.
I chose AM Language for my English course because of its positive reviews and reputation for effective language learning.
I began at an intermediate level and progressed to an upper intermediate level during my time there. My teacher, Sian, had an engaging teaching style that made grammar lessons enjoyable. She encouraged active participation and created a supportive learning environment.
The most challenging skill for me was initially speaking, but the interactive speaking activities in class significantly improved my confidence. I particularly enjoyed the dynamic lessons that combined grammar with practical conversation exercises.
The school’s organized activities were fantastic. My favorite was the Halloween party where students from different countries dressed up in costumes and shared their cultural traditions. It was a creative and fun way to practice English while enjoying the festive atmosphere.
My most memorable experience in Malta was a weekend trip to Gozo with fellow students. Exploring the picturesque island and interacting with locals enhanced my language skills and cultural understanding.
For those aspiring to learn English, I recommend immersing yourself in the language as much as possible. Practice speaking regularly, engage in cultural activities, and don’t be afraid to make mistakes – it’s part of the learning process. Malta offers a vibrant environment for language learners, so make the most of it!
